This position is employed by Families for an Affordable San Francisco (FFASF), the field and organizing program supporting Scott Wiener's 2026 campaign for Congress (CA-11).

Senator Scott Wiener is a leading voice for progress in California and a proven champion for our values. Scott has delivered real results on issues like housing, transportation, climate change, LGBTQ+ equality, and criminal justice reform. Now, he's running for Congress to bring his effective, progressive leadership to Washington, D.C. His campaign is building a diverse, passionate, and dedicated team to engage voters across the city and secure victory in 2026.
Position Summary
The Westside Organizer will lead grassroots organizing across Districts 1, 4, and 7 — the west side of San Francisco. The role is relationship-first early in the cycle and turnout-focused as Election Day approaches: building a network of supporters and volunteers, getting Scott in front of voters, and converting that energy into doors and votes.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the lead organizer for Districts 1, 4, and 7, working under the west-side organizing lead.
Early cycle: focus on 1:1s and relationship-building across the west side.
Schedule and run 1:1s, house parties, and community events that put Scott in front of voters — then build turnout for them.
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for events and canvasses.
Near the election (GOTV): shift fully to canvasses and direct voter outreach.
Carry and hit personal turnout and door-knocking goals, tracked weekly.
Goals & Metrics
8 completed 1:1s per week.
2 house parties scheduled and completed per month.
2 other community events scheduled and completed per month.
GOTV phase: canvasses and voter-outreach events built and executed (doors).
Responsible for owning a data-driven goal-oriented voter contact and organizing program
Qualifications
Experience in organizing or field on electoral campaigns, or comparable community organizing.
Ability to build a network from scratch, recruit volunteers, and keep them engaged.
Comfortable knocking doors and leading others to do the same.
Proficiency with VAN (PDI experience ok as a stand-in), Mobilize, and Google Workspace, or the ability to learn quickly.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to work long and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
Ties to or knowledge of the Richmond, Sunset, and west side are a strong plus.
Commitment to progressive values and the Democratic Party.
