Description
Jason Knapp is a retired Navy combat pilot running for Congress in Virginia's First District, and we'd love to have you on our field team for the home stretch before the August 4 primary.
Here's the honest truth about what we need. Someone who's good with people. Someone who believes in what we're doing. Someone who can stay reasonably organized. That's really it.
This is the kind of work that's hard and joyful at the same time. You'll spend your days talking to voters at their doors, on the phone, and at events around the district. You'll help us find volunteers and keep our precinct captains feeling supported and appreciated. And you'll log your conversations so nothing gets lost and the whole team gets stronger.
We're hiring across all of VA-01, full-time and part-time. Richmond suburbs, Williamsburg and the Historic Triangle, the Middle Peninsula, the Northern Neck, all of it. Wherever you are in the district, there's work near you and voters who need to hear from us.
This role runs through early August. $22–$25/hour, depending on experience.
When you apply, send a short note about why this race matters to you and a resume if you have one. Tell us about a time you got people to show up for something they cared about. We read every one.
Knapp for Congress. No corporate PAC money.
Requirements
You genuinely like people, and they tend to like you back.
You care about getting big money out of politics and electing someone who can't be bought.
You follow through. You don't need to be a systems wizard, you just keep your promises.
Campaign experience is a plus, not a requirement. If you've never done this but you're the person your friends call when they need something done, apply anyway. Some of the best organizers we've ever met started with zero experience and a lot of heart.
