ABOUT UCPEA
The University of Connecticut Professional Employees Association (UCPEA) is the labor union that represents the non-teaching professional staff bargaining unit at the University of Connecticut (UConn). We negotiate and enforce the collective bargaining agreement that governs the terms and conditions of employment for more than 2,200 professional employees working as nurses, doctors, librarians, advisors, academic program and administrative support, information technology services, institutional operations and much more.

The UCPEA is a diverse, democratic organization led by members who are elected to represent employee interests and establish the union’s policies, goals, and bargaining priorities.

About the UCPEA Office
The UCPEA Office consists of paid labor and administrative professionals employed by the union to manage day-to-day operations and support the implementation of the organization’s mission and objectives.

Search Process - the search process has four steps:
1. Application
2. Screening
3. Skills assessment
4. Interview

All applications will be assessed against the same criteria using a rubric and applicants must pass each step to advance in the process. Please note that identifying information will be separated from applications during the initial screening process.
