About Marc
Marc is a former teacher (17 years), a former at-large County Councilmember (12 years) and the current County Executive. Since his victory in 2018, Marc has made progress in supporting our schools, addressing climate change, increasing transit, improving the business climate and maintaining and improving our quality of life. And, he has done all of that with an equity lens. During the pandemic, Marc put the public’s safety first and science at the center of all the policies, helping get Montgomery County to the highest vaccination rate in the country for large jurisdictions- and he has made sure that testing and vaccinations are distributed equitably throughout the pandemic.
