Clean Water Action is a non-profit focusing on campaigns related to water access, water quality, and environmental justice. With over half a million members nationwide and 160,000 members in Michigan, Clean Water Action's impact is far-reaching. We work to empower people to take action to protect America's waters, build healthy communities and to make democracy work for all of us.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
For 51 years Clean Water Action has succeeded in winning some of the nation's most important environmental protections, like the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act, through grassroots organizing, expert policy research and political advocacy focused on holding elected officials accountable to the public. Our recent victories in Michigan include becoming one of the first states in the country to pass a drinking water standard for PFAs and funding lead pipe replacement across the state.
