Description
DEF: An apprenticeship is a system for training a new generation of practitioners of a trade or profession with on-the-job training and often some accompanying study.
We’re focused on Call Time - the hours a candidate calls their donor lists. These hours of Call Time can make or break campaigns. Nowadays, candidates - especially local and down-ballot - are searching for qualified finance staff who can help run their call rooms and help their campaign succeed.
But, we know there’s a knowledge gap on the Finance side. The Sterling Call Time Apprenticeship is a one-of-a-kind program that provides you with the tools to learn the ins-and-outs of Call Time, candidate management, and the Sterling systems and softwares that have helped power campaigns across the US.
Upon completion of the program, Managers-in-Training are offered the position of Call Time Manager and can begin taking sessions working and managing our candidates. As a CTM, we provide you with a level of candidate management experience that will put you on track to be a campaign manager. Applicants looking for a flexible, remote, finance-focused position are welcome to apply - no matter your campaign background.
*Please note that the program ends after 3 months and not everyone is awarded a certificate of completion. After 3 months in the program, if a Manager-in-Training will not receive a certificate of completion, they will be relocated to other positions in the firm or dismissed.
Requirements
Goal: Prepare Managers-in-Training to be Certified Sterling Call Time Managers by completing a rigorous Finance training program and a minimum 50 hours in the “virtual call room”.
The Sterling Call Time Apprenticeship is a 10 hour a week max program at $15/hr. MITs can expect to spend 6-8 hours in the “virtual call room” and 2-4 hours completing training materials or in workshops. Each week, you will share availability and be matched with candidates. All employees must complete the “Employee Availability Form” by Wednesday EOD or they will not receive hours or have limited call time sessions assigned. MITs must complete a minimum of 50 hours of Call Time sessions and training materials before being considered for the completion of the program. The CTM role is $20/hr, and there is no cap on the number of hours per week. Both positions are hourly W2 positions. All employees are eligible to enroll in a retirement plan.
