Description

  • The Stronger Change Office is an affiliate-driven healthcare transformation office housed in PPFA. Stronger focuses on strengthening affiliates in a way that will be truly transformational and facilitating the innovation needed to build the Planned Parenthood of the future. 
  • Stronger seeks a Stronger Change Office (SCO) Senior Market Analyst to support the execution of Stronger’s market analysis efforts. The Senior Market Analysis Analyst will work under the Market Analysis Transformation Lead (Assoc. Director) and will be tasked with carrying out timely and relevant market analyses. The primary functions of the Senior Market Analyst are to: 
  • Support market analysis needs of the Stronger Change Office, including conducting market & ad hoc data analysis and sharing actionable insights with affiliates; 
  • Identify and translate market assessments into business cases & action plans; 
  • Provide thought partnership to affiliate stakeholders on our market analysis tools and services; and 
  • Assist in training affiliate staff and other SCO Team members on analytics tools.

  • Support high priority market analysis needs for Stronger Project Teams.
  • Conduct market analyses and ad hoc data analysis and visualization to support Stronger Market Analysis  initiative and inform affiliate strategies. 
  • In partnership with Stronger Change Office Market Analysis Transformation Lead and affiliates, identify and translate market assessments into business cases and data action plans that can be implemented in response to environmental and/or policy changes.
  • Identify standard analyses and shared best practices; monitor ongoing health care trends.
  • Assist affiliates and partner with national office staff in interpreting and utilizing data. Identify and communicate insights across Stronger Project Teams.
  • Build, train, and drive usage of performance improvement-focused analytical tools in direct service of national and affiliate business objectives.
  • Maintain relationships with Federation analytics partners.
  • Work with internal and external partners to incorporate external tools and capabilities for descriptive analytics, predictive modeling, and forecasting. 
  • Provide thought leadership to affiliate stakeholders on use of analytics and how it supports successful outcomes. 
  • Build, manage, train colleagues, and constantly improve upon the SCO MA geospatial analysis offerings. 


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience conducting strategic analysis of health-care related data and delivering that data in actionable insights.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; and data visualization tools such as Tableau and/or PowerBI preferred.  
  • Experience with statistical packages ( STATA, SAS, SPSS, and/or R) required.  
  • Experience in ArcGIS (or other spatial analysis software) preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of the health care delivery system preferred. Experience working with demographic data and health equity initiatives preferred. 
  • Strong analytical skills & able to conduct complex analyses.
  • Healthy curiosity that encourages finding root problems through data analysis.
  • Effectively manages own work to ensure delivery of high-quality outputs.
  • Succinctly communicates the results, insights, and implications of analyses.
  • Strong task and project execution. Able to handle multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Strong customer success orientation and skills.
  • Comfortable working with a distributed team, including telecommuters across the U.S.
  • Collaborative work style. Able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Strong commitment to Planned Parenthood mission.
  • Familiarity and experience working with the diverse communities Planned Parenthood serves, including an appreciation for the assets of each community and understanding of the institutional barriers to health care that currently exist.
  • Stronger is open to a remote candidate for this position. Due to the need to engage stakeholders, the Senior Data Analyst will be expected to spend ~10-15% of time traveling to meet with Stronger affiliates and other key stakeholders.  Please note: All travel will be postponed until further notice given the COVID-19 pandemic.
