Description
Overview: The campaign for Illinois State Representative in the 12th District is hiring a full-time Campaign Manager, starting in mid-November. The position is based on Chicago’s North Side and will run through March 27, 2026. Position includes a $250/month health care stipend, $100/month travel stipend, and $75/month technology stipend.
- Manage candidate’s schedule and attend meetings and events with candidate.
- Execute a winning campaign plan, including field goals, voter contact strategies, and community. engagement tactics in coordination with the candidate and senior advisors.
- Build broad, effective grassroots campaign including, but not limited to, coalition building, voter outreach, planning events, etc.
- Develop relationships with community organizations, leaders, and stakeholders to expand the campaign’s reach.
- Organize and staff meet and greets throughout the district.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders.
Requirements
- 1-2 cycles of political experience preferred; at least some experience working in a political, non-profit, or community organizing capacity.
- Familiarity with VAN voter contact software and NGP fundraising software required.
- Self-starter who takes a proactive approach to their job.
- Good time management skills and strong attention to detail.
- Access to a cell phone and laptop is required. Access to a vehicle is preferred.
- Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast-paced, metrics-driven work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities, serve as a team leader, and maintain a sense of humor.
Work Environment
This position typically operates in various settings where the climate may vary and noise can be moderate to heavy. Position requires routine use of standard office equipment such as phones, computers, printers, scanners and photocopiers.
