Description
GPS Impact is hiring a seasonal, full-time Analyst to join our Client Services team. The Analyst will report to multiple senior team members and will be instrumental in supporting internal tools and client-facing insights.
This position can be remote (pending location approval) or based in one of our physical office locations of Des Moines, IA, Kansas City, MO, Philadelphia, PA or Washington, DC. This is a seasonal position and will end on December 31, 2026.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with principals on current projects relating to statewide, local elections, ballot measures and issue advocacy campaigns.
- Join internal meetings to stay current on GPS priorities and contribute to cross-functional projects.
- Assist in maintaining and updating internal knowledge bases or research archives.
- Assist team with targeting analyses, voter file segmentation, and demographic profiling.
- Support ad hoc data projects, including election trend research, turnout modeling, and geographic targeting.
- Use tools like Looker Studio and Tableau to create visual reports and dashboards for internal and client use.
- Help prepare memos, backgrounders, and strategy decks grounded in data insights.
- Provide electoral research, including at the State, county, local levels for both candidate and ballot initiative campaigns.
- Support senior leadership in developing and curating media monitoring, using tools like TVEyes, Muck Rack, etc.
- Conduct desk research on public opinion, messaging trends, or topic-specific insights as needed.
Requirements
- Very strong analytical skills with a curiosity to take on new projects.
- 3-5 years experience working in political campaigns.
- Experience using tools like Looker Studio and Tableau.
- Demonstrate proficiency in a task management system, Google Sheets, and willingness to learn other tools as needed.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet manipulation (including formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
- Be highly organized and detail-orientated, with an ability to dive deep into projects while still meeting deadlines.
- Be dependable and trustworthy with an ability to work well independently and with others.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced, informal team-focused environment where constant change is the norm and the bar for quality is high.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with Asana, AirTable, or similar project management systems.
